about

This week's performance was far less dramatic than last week's troubled journey. I was tired for this one--sleep's been difficult for a number of reasons. As a result, my performance was more intuitive than conscious, trusting what emerged in the moment from listening. There were fewer live listeners this week, but it was a quiet gathering of friends, listening intently.

The result does show its pedal steel heritage, though with some wind and reed timbres, notably some accordion-like sounds. The music drifted from one place to another, dwelling for a while before moving on.

This week's improvisation is dedicated to the visual art of Lygia Clark. Thank you for listening!
