about

Just before I'd begun this series of live-on-the-internet ambient performances, I performed at the 2020 Thundersnow near Escanaba Michigan, on the shore of the Little Bay De Noc. After some pandemic years of virtual Thundersnow observances, I was looking forward to performing at this year's in-person one, but needed to be home for family. That wasn't going to stop me from contributing, though.

I'd wanted to bring a new instrument to Thundersnow. I've gradually been building a new instrument that isn't quite ready yet, so this performance uses the difficult-to-transport pedal steel. There are some woodwing timbres, and a feeling of flowing water, and a contemplative vibe throughout.

Thank you for listening! As the PRF would put it, don't quit.
