It's always a pleasure to be asked to participate in a Memphis Concrète event. The 2017 festival was the first livestream I'd done from home, and opened up that way of working. Unlike that performance (in which my livestream was part of an in-person event), this one had all the artists livestreaming from home...but for me, events required me to perform ahead of time and send in the video. My pieces were still improvised in real time, but just at a different time.

My 53rd Music at a Distance performance of a few days before...seemed to manifest sadness and loneliness, while this one to me seemed to manifest reassurance. So I'll offer that to anyone who feels they need it. (The sixth track here is the first one I'd improvised the night of recording; it didn't quite fit the flow that the others had, and didn't fit the half-hour slot. So it's included as a bonus.)
