about

We've lost a lot of people over the last two years. At the same time, our lives have continued. We have to get up every day and do the things we have to do. We have to take care of others, and take care of ourselves. Are you getting enough to eat? Do you have a chance to move around a bit? Are you able to sleep through the night? It can be hard to do the things we need to do. I hope you're doing as well as possible. It's important to take care of yourself as well.

I hope, if you're here, that this music can help in some small way. For me, having obligations (like this performance series) has kept me grounded through this pandemic. There's a chopping-wood and carrying-water aspect of life that I've found helpful. I may or may not be able to affect large-scale events...but I can affect my small circle of connections. You can, too.

Thank you for listening! This improvisation is dedicated to the work of Vera Molnár.

Some patches use mostly oscillators, some use delays, some use controlled amounts of randomness. Results range from gentle ambience to chaos. ... more
