about

The awfulness of the world can be relentless. Hurt piles upon hurt, and outrage upon outrage. We need the violence and pain to stop. How do we do that? How can we help?

We...don't have to know the one thing that will fix these problems. We can offer our help to the world, at first in small ways, and see what helps others. If something works, we can keep doing it. We don't need all the answers to all our problems in order to move forward.

This performance series is my offering to anyone who needs it--maybe you're suffering, or exhausted, or frustrated, or weary the onslaught of bad news. And maybe listening to something gentle for an hour or so will help. If you can take that load off for a bit every day, maybe you can help others in your own way tomorrow. We really are all in this together. I'm glad you're here. Thank you for listening.

This week's improvisation is dedicated to the work of Walter Darby Bannard (www.wbannard.com).
