about

Last week brought a large audience, and my attention often seemed to drift away from the music in the performance. At the time, I'd thought that it was just my over-awareness of the audience, but...just a few days later, I'd become sick from COVID. (This was not the livestream audience's fault!) I'd simply not had my full attention to spare. The next several days have been devoted to recovery, and this performance--the 116th--found me well enough to perform, and able to devote my attention to listening for the music.

Both I and this performance feel a lot better. The Moog is the right instrument, and its harmonic ability is fully on display here in a way that seems a bit different from previous outings. I've been able to embrace the instrument as it is, and let its voice come to the foreground. I'm rather happy with this one.

This week's performance is dedicated to the work of Tom Marioni. Thank you for listening!
