about

Last week brought a dramatic change of seasons, and suddenly autumn's chill is here. I've closed my window, and pulled the shade down for the evening's performances. There's a kind of pulling into interior space. It isn't so much of an ignoring of the world, but a turning inward for a while, to care for the world in there. I hope that you also are able to care for yourself.

That turning-inward is reflected a bit in these pieces, which let rests and space occur, and unfold in an organic way, listening for signs of what should come next.

This week's improvisations (like week 94's) are dedicated to the work of Anne Truitt. Thank you for listening!
