about

I hope you're doing well in this fifteenth week of isolation. I started this series as a way of connecting to friends I wouldn't be able to share performing space with, and the practice has become a kind of anchor. I very much appreciate that people are out there listening.

This week I mostly used the Res-O-Glas guitar, which has a different sustain profile from my others. These have shorter note durations and a bit more space than some other weeks, and seems like one of the more melodic sets, pivoting from melancholic to reassuring, not unlike how the week felt. There are some bell-, cello-, and flute-like tones, but it's all guitar.

All sales for June are going to www.bukitbailfund.org.

Thank you for listening!

snwv Pittsburgh

snwv started as my project to create ambient environments from finely tuned software-generated sine waves. Now it includes those, other kinds of oscillators, processors for live inputs (guitar, other instruments, ambient microphones, feedback). Some patches are focused on the oscillators, some on delays, some on controlled amounts of randomness. Results range from gentle ambience to chaos. ... more
