about

For this performance, I'd decided to try a few changes--longer delay lines, and more present filter modulation. It worked out. This one really seems to suspend time. It also helped to have familiar listeners in the Twitch chat--thank you to everyone who was there!

In the past, I kept each one under a minute, and usually no more than two over 50 seconds, two between 40 and 50, and so on, to avoid dropping samples from the waveform of the stereo output. (These would sound like loud pops.) The last several performances seemed stable, so I think improvements in the software and general computing environment were helping reduce memory and CPU usage. Even with the large reverbs and long tapin/tapout lines, and the VST tone shaping, and the visualization and livestream software...it all worked well.

Wherever you are, I hope you're treating yourself well, and that everything flows for you. This week's performance is dedicated to the art of Michio Takayama. Thank you for listening!
