Many of us are kind of freaking out at the moment. Maybe you are as well. There's plenty of bad news, worries for next week, emotional exhaustion. So it's time for the Drone.

This week I reached for the Moog and its infinite sustain. It also emphasizes higher harmonics, and can produce fairly dense results with the delay system, so the pieces end up more textural than melodic. It can be tricky to tell what's going on in the performance and what's sounding acoustically in the room, though, so these seem a bit less dense to me than they did during the performance.

This week also marks a change--rather than audio-only livestreaming, I've started using Twitch for live visualizations with Vuo: www.twitch.tv/onezeromusic. Each will be available on Twitch for two weeks.
