Week 41, there's snow on the ground (melting), and a short work week; we're getting ready to have an isolated holiday here.

Just before the regular setup time, I hadn't yet decided on any particular instrument or approach, and finally thought to use the longest-sustaining guitar for the longest night of the year, so this one uses the Moog.

Some recent weeks (39, 40) strike me as emphasizing beauty and emotion. This one seems to want to be still and centered in what it is. The first three pieces have a smaller reverb and feel a bit closer to home, while the larger reverb of the others suggests space and openness. It was tough coming up with titles for this one; I defaulted to the place names of longwave transmitters.

Wherever you are, and whatever you're doing toward the end of the year, here's wishing you good oscillations.
