I hope you're all doing well. I find time to be progressing strangely--this period starting a few weeks ago seems like it's gone on forever, while last year seems close. This may just be how things are, now. How are you experiencing time?

This week's improvisations emerged in their own way. I used three nonstandard tunings, and let their sounds give form to the pieces. Some dwell on the same pitch class for a while, and some develop more steadily. This music wants to be what it is, rather than be over-directed. (This includes hum from the guitars, particularly the Heit. If I think of it as that aspect of the guitar expressing's not annoying. It's just a sound the guitar makes.)

Feel free to sit with these sounds for a while. Thank you for listening!
