about

I hope you're well and staying safe.

This week's improvisation had a technical hiccup in the beginning, with no audio track going out over OBS, and then OBS consuming room sound (mostly the laptop fan) from the built-in microphone. While that was a bit odd for live listeners, but you won't hear that here.

Even with that awkward start, the music was patient, and made steadily and patiently itself available. I brought out the Moderne for this one, and you can hear its higher-output pickups tipping a bit toward distortion. With the harmony from the FFT pitch-shift, they sound particularly rich.

The structure of these pieces seem slower and a bit more spacious than I've done in a while, and there's a persistent feeling of calm and contemplation. Perhaps this can be helpful, if you need something to guid you toward a calmer state of mind.

Thank you for listening!
