about

This last week of the year is an occasion for looking back. This is the last improvisation of 2021, and the 51st livestream. Counting all of these and a few special events (PRF Virtual Thundersnow and the Virtual BBQ, and Memphis Concrète), I've released 371 ambient pieces this year, totaling 2.4 days. The performance patch has evolved a bit, though there's a consistency across these releases.

People have listened to streams here on Bandcamp 2827 times in 2021. There have been 367 downloads this year, and 58 purchases, also. I'm grateful for each of them. I've been holding down Monday night performances on Twitch, and there's a regular community of listeners--thank you all for showing up and listening! Best wishes to you all for the new year!

This performance is dedicated to the work of Mary Martin (www.artnet.com/artists/mary-martin/).

Some patches use mostly oscillators, some use delays, some use controlled amounts of randomness. Results range from gentle ambience to chaos. ... more
