Sometimes the music manifests as a reflection of how the day has felt, while sometimes it's a reaction to it. The weekend had been quite full of activity, and the week was scheduled to be even busier--travel, meetings, things-that-needed-to-be-done. The pandemic, however, has other plans. (I'm not personally ill, at least so far.)

The music this evening appeared as a reaction against busy-ness. It's focused on things becoming themselves, slowly. They're shorter pieces than recent ones have been, but they create a longer time and a larger space. This one was both a surprise and a reassurance.

This week's performance is dedicated to the visual art of Heather Hutchinson (heatherhutchison.com) and to former employees of Moog Music. Thank you for listening!
