This week, music revealed itself from unexpected directions, stepping out from the shadows, appearing from around doorways, tapping me on the shoulder, frequently surprising me as the player. Happily, the audience was with me through this performance. These pieces move through several moods--calm, trepidation, mourning, wonder, peacefulness...and a sense of a journey reaching an inflection point. Everything's slow, of course, but there's the sound of energy pulsing through. Some timbres resemble oboes, some low brass, and some bowed strings.

Wherever you are, I hope you're treating yourself well. The titles of these pieces are references to the art of Govinda Sah "Azad." Thank you for listening!
