This performance took place on a necessary day of rest, though it can be difficult to let our minds go quiet, particularly now. Even so, for me this evening was helped by this virtual gathering of listeners, and music manifested itself. In the moment, my experience was that I had to work to allow notes to have space, and remember to allow for silence. The Moog is a loud instrument, even just acoustically, and everything sounds more dense as I play it in the room. Listening back to the recording, however, is often very different. These pieces turned out to be quite spacious and centered in themselves.

I hope that you're all doing as well and finding as much peace as possible. This week's performance is dedicated to the work of Ryszard Wasko. Thank you for listening!
