about

We're in a new year, but a lot of negative things are the same as last year. If you're back to work after the holiday, you may not be feeling entirely well-rested. Everything seems to be happening both too soon and too late.

And yet. In doing these Monday night sessions, I'm taking an hour or so to open my ears to whatever's available. Sometimes it's calming, sometimes it's beauty, or wonder, sometimes regret, sadness, frustration, exhaustion. The negative things aren't less real than the positive ones...but the positive aren't less real than the negative, either. This week is calm, wistful, and also has a we've-been-through-a-lot-together-haven't-we? feeling to it. So I offer this week's performance to you in that spirit.

For anyone working directly with people, particularly in health care and retail, total respect to you. You're needed.

Thank you for listening!
